Job summary

CarnaudMetalbox Engineering (CMbE) in the UK is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to drive process development and improvements at the Shipley site, with occasional travel to other UK sites. You will champion efficient assembly methods, PFMEA updates, and BOM alignment with operations.

The role requires HND in Manufacturing Engineering, with a bias toward CAD (2D/3D) and CAD packages (AutoCAD; Siemens NX). Strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential.

Qualifications

• HND or equivalent in Manufacturing Engineering.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in progress preferred.
• CAD (2D/3D) essential, ideally AutoCAD and Siemens NX.
• PFMEA and EBOM/MBOM alignment with operations.
• Strong communication, problem solving and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Develop and improve processes across all plant manufacturing operations.
• Plan, schedule and implement manufacturing processes in assembly areas.
• Engage with CI, maintenance and production engineering on projects.
• Design new systems, equipment and processes to support new product introduction and existing products.
• Support DFMA/ DFA meetings to ensure smooth production transitions.
• Contribute to PFMEA updates and BOM alignment with operations teams.
