Job summary

Energy Jobline ZR is recruiting a Manufacturing Engineer to own and optimise production processes at our Stevenage site. The role involves translating design requirements into clear manufacturing instructions and supporting both development and production lines.

You will work with the Principal Engineer to drive industrial validation, implement safe process changes, and ensure efficient, cost-conscious manufacturing practices.

Qualifications

• Formal technical Apprenticeship/NVQ Level 3 in Engineering or Craft, plus higher education to Level 4 (HNC) or equivalent.
• A degree in a relevant subject is preferred.
• Proactive problem solving and commitment to meeting milestones.
• Ability to interpret design drawings to produce Manufacturing Build Instructions.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Awareness of digital communication platforms to collaborate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Support existing manufacturing lines and introduce new products.
• Support the industrial validation process through FMEAs and process proving activities.
• Manage configuration control by incorporating design changes into manufacturing documentation and validation.
• Support the non-conformance process.
• Ensure products are manufactured with safety, efficiency and cost considerations in mind.
• Take responsibility for safe operating implementation of changed processes, liaising with COSHH/SHE where needed.
• Liaise with the design authority during prototype/development to ensure Design for Manufacture (DfM).
• Compile and update Manufacturing Instructions and maintain production BOMs.
• Develop and control tooling for manufacturing processes.
