Manufacturing Engineer – Manufacturing Equipment and Facilities

Join us at Rolls-Royce as a Manufacturing Engineer – Manufacturing Equipment and Facilities within our Submarines division.

About the Role

This is a full-time position based in Derby, supporting and delivering new capital equipment projects. You will manage multiple projects, from initial specifications to commissioning, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency in a highly regulated environment.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Manage capital equipment and facilities projects from inception to completion.
  2. Develop technical specifications and contribute to safety assessments.
  3. Implement and improve equipment capabilities, plan project activities, and support installation and commissioning.
  4. Identify process improvements using Lean or Six Sigma methodologies.
Candidate Requirements
  • Experience in manufacturing equipment acquisition, especially in regulated industries.
  • Project engineering experience, including managing budgets and specifications.
  • Plant layout and facilities integration experience.
  • Qualified engineer (HNC/HND or equivalent).
  • Lean manufacturing knowledge and MS Project skills.
