Production Engineer Role

Be responsible for coordinating production engineering processes from the final design phase to full production release. Liaise with the company's Engineering and Project Teams, Production, and Supply Chain to ensure successful transition for new and existing product designs, ensuring projects are completed on time, within quality standards, and budget.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage standards, methods, and procedures for design, modification, and maintenance of manufacturing equipment and processes.
  • Develop and deliver production plans, build documentation, and route cards for engineering projects from final design into series production.
  • Contribute to the development of the Operations Department strategy.
  • Coordinate cross-functional activities to resolve manufacturing issues during daily operations.
  • Develop best practices to improve capacity, quality, and reliability.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Assist with new product introductions and design for manufacture activities.
  • Handle production engineering tasks related to Transfer of Technology (ToT) projects.
  • Visit customers and suppliers as necessary.
  • Develop operating instructions and equipment specifications for production.
  • Perform other tasks as required by management.
Experience and Skills:
  • Degree in Engineering or recognized engineering apprenticeship, preferably in electro-optical manufacturing.
  • Strong understanding of process engineering principles, practices, and standards.
  • Ability to respond swiftly to production changes and implement effective solutions.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in teams.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Comfortable working in the defence and security sectors.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and produce quality deliverables.
  • Proficient in reading engineering drawings and understanding GD&T.
  • 'Can do' attitude, motivational, accountable, with integrity.
  • Team-oriented, customer and quality focused, outcome and solution driven.
  • Flexible to meet business needs.
  • Full valid driving license and passport required.
  • Security clearance at SC level is mandatory.
