Job summary

Forged Solutions Group in Blaenavon, South Wales is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to help develop and optimise manufacturing processes using lean tools to enhance quality, productivity and process capability. You will monitor processes and collaborate with Operations and Quality while leading improvement projects.

Candidates should have proven experience in precision engineering environments, experience with PPAP, PFMEAs, SPC, RCCA/8D methods, and a track record of cost reduction through

Qualifications

Experience in a precision-engineered, highly regulated environment.
Proven track record of waste and cost reduction via process improvement.
Experience with lean tools and problem solving methods (PPAP, PFMEAs, SPC, RCCA, 8-D).
Capex/project execution to support cost-reduction initiatives.

Responsibilities

Monitor and develop manufacturing processes across site.
Collaborate with Operations and Quality to optimise quality, productivity and process capability using lean tools.
Introduce and optimise new products into the plant with initial batch monitoring.
Produce and coordinate documentation; develop SOPs and control plans.
Identify improvement opportunities and generate timely plans; manage improvement projects.
Provide regular updates on milestones and benefits achieved.
