Thrive Oldham is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer for our well established client in Blaenavon, South Wales. You will develop and optimise manufacturing processes, driving lean improvements to quality, speed and efficiency.

The role requires experience in regulated industries, strong problem solving and capability with measurement tools and CNC/ PLC systems. A competitive salary and permanent role are offered.

Qualifications

• Experience applying lean manufacturing tools (PPAP, PFMEA, SPC) to improve quality and productivity.
• Strong track record of reducing waste and costs via process improvement.
• Experience with capital projects to support cost reduction initiatives.

Responsabilités

• Monitor and develop manufacturing processes across site.
• Collaborate with Operations and Quality to optimise quality, productivity and process capability using lean tools.
• Introduce and optimise new products into the plant.
• Design and monitor initial batches; coordinate production documentation.
• Identify improvement opportunities and deliver detailed improvement plans.
• Lead projects to implement improvement plans and report milestones and benefits.
• Address process problems related to process, product and equipment.
• Develop SOPs, quality procedures, control plans and PMFEAs.
• Educate staff through coaching and training to embed lean culture.
• Set specifications and acceptance criteria for machines and equipment.
• Provide regular updates on project status and benefits achieved.
