Job summary

Thrive Oldham is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer in Blaenavon, South Wales to develop and optimise manufacturing processes with lean principles. You will partner with Operations and Quality teams to boost quality, productivity and process capability and drive cost reductions.

You will lead design and monitoring of initial batches, develop SOPs and documentation, and coach staff on waste elimination and continuous improvement across the plant.

Qualifications

• Minimum of HNC in Engineering Discipline.
• Six Sigma Green Belt qualification is highly desirable.
• Proven track record in lean manufacturing and process improvement.
• Experience with PPAP, PFMEAs and SPC is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimise manufacturing processes across site using lean tools.
• Collaborate with Operations and Quality to improve quality, productivity and capability.
• Introduce and optimise new products through the plant and monitor initial batches.
• Create and maintain SOPs, quality procedures, control plans and PMFEAs.
• Coach and train staff to embed waste-elimination culture and lean principles.
• Lead projects to implement improvement plans and monitor milestones.
