Job summary

Servomex in Crowborough, East Sussex, is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to drive process improvements and equipment optimisation within our Technical Centre. You will lead lean initiatives, support NPI, and work closely with Engineering and Production to ensure products are designed for efficient manufacture.

The role requires strong problem solving, effective communication, and the ability to manage priorities independently.

Responsibilities

Partner with Engineering and Production to ensure products are designed for efficient manufacture.
Lead and support strategic improvement projects, including production line expansions and equipment upgrades.
Develop and implement manufacturing plans for New Product Introductions (NPI).
Design, commission and validate production tooling, fixtures and jigs.
Conduct and maintain PFMEA.
Create and improve Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Train and support production teams on new equipment and processes.
Drive Kaizen and continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing operations.
Facilitate Value Stream Mapping activities to identify waste and improve process flow.
Support manufacturing excellence through robust risk assessment and process validation activities.
