The Bread Factory is London’s leading Artisan Bakery, known for award-winning breads, pastries, and cakes, supplying top-quality products across e-commerce, grocery, foodservices, and retailers such as our GAIL’s Bakeries nationwide. As our Milton Keynes Factory continues to grow, we are looking for Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineers to join our team.

Every day is different at The Bread Factory, but here are some of the responsibilities you will have:

1. Ensure that equipment and plant are maintained.
2. React promptly and efficiently to breakdowns.
3. Perform PLC fault finding at input and output levels.
4. Address issues highlighted during our in-house HACCP audits.
5. Respond to out-of-hours calls for breakdowns.

Our ideal candidate will:

• Be a logical thinker with a proactive approach to resolving issues and faults.
• Be electrically and mechanically skilled, with an engineering-based NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification (e.g., C&G 2330).
• Be qualified or willing to qualify in Electrical Installations BS7671:2008 (2382-15) 18th Edition, with updates as they are released.
• Preferably hold an HNC (Level 4) or equivalent in electrical/mechanical engineering, with control/instrumentation experience being highly desirable.
• Understand OEE and equipment performance metrics.
• Experience using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) for planned and reactive maintenance.
• Experience working with bakery machinery.
• Possess HACCP awareness.
• Have troubleshooting skills for electrical equipment.

Shift Times:

2 days Day shift and 2 days Night shift on a 4 on 4 off pattern.
