Job summary

Tiro Contracts is seeking a Manufacturing Development Team Leader in Kent to guide a team of Process Technicians and Process Technologists, driving improvements across safety, quality and efficiency.

You will report to the Manufacturing Development Manager and work closely with Operations, Engineering and Projects to deliver technical improvements, capital projects and long-term performance gains. The role combines hands-on problem solving with strategic oversight.

Qualifications

• Experience leading teams in manufacturing or process environments.
• Proven track record of continuous improvement and process optimisation.
• Strong problem-solving and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience with water/effluent treatment and quality controls is desirable.
• Ability to set KPIs and build a safety-focused culture.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of Process Technicians and Process Technologists and drive improvement across a broad technical remit.
• Drive process improvement, optimisation and technical problem solving.
• Coordinate with Operations, Engineering and Projects to deliver technical improvements and capital projects.
• Develop departmental KPIs and promote a strong safety and continuous-improvement culture.
• Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and product quality requirements.
