Job summary
KCR Solutions in Cramlington is seeking an Assistant Accountant to join a well-established manufacturing operation. Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will support monthly management accounts, balance sheet reconciliations and VAT returns while developing your accounting career in a fast-paced environment.
You will handle journals, accruals and cash flow work, assist with stock and ledgers, and contribute to process improvements.
Qualifications
- Experience in an accounts or finance role.
- Excellent Excel and finance systems skills.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively within a busy manufacturing environment.
- AAT qualification or studying towards AAT/ACCA/CIMA.
- Experience with ERP/integrated accounting systems.
Responsibilities
- Assist with monthly management accounts.
- Post journals, accruals and prepayments.
- Perform balance sheet and bank reconciliations.
- Prepare VAT returns and support compliance.
- Monitor stock-related transactions and inventory reconciliations.
- Process and review purchase ledger and sales ledger information.
- Support cash flow reporting and cash management.
- Produce financial reports and analysis for management.
- Contribute to process improvements across the finance function.
