Job summary

KCR Solutions is recruiting on behalf of a well-established organisation in Newcastle upon Tyne for an experienced Finance Manager to lead the finance team and own the management accounting function.

Reporting to the Finance Director, you will produce monthly management accounts, budgets and cash flow forecasts, oversee balance sheet reconciliations and deliver KPI reporting to senior management. You will mentor a small team and contribute to strategic planning.

Qualifications

• Fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA).
• Experience as Finance Manager or Senior Management Accountant.
• Proven management accounts production experience.
• Experience in budgeting, forecasting and cash flow forecasting.
• Advanced Excel skills and financial analysis.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement.
• Proven experience mentoring finance staff.

Responsibilities

• Production of timely and accurate monthly management accounts.

• Ownership and management of cash flow forecasting and working capital analysis.
• Monthly balance sheet reconciliations and maintenance of financial controls.

• Identifying opportunities to improve financial processes and reporting efficiencies.

Reporting directly to the Finance Director, this is a key position within the business, offering the opportunity to take ownership of the management accounting function, support strategic decision-making and lead a small finance team.

The successful candidate will be a hands‑on finance professional with strong technical accounting skills, a proactive approach and the ability to deliver accurate and insightful financial information to support business performance.

Essential:

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
• Proven experience managing or mentoring finance staff.
