Job summary

Red Bull Racing Formula One Team in Milton Keynes is seeking a Manufacturing Assembly Technician to join our Jig Management (Chassis) group. You will build jig assemblies to tight tolerances, interpret engineering drawings, and ensure parts are produced to the highest quality for our Formula One cars.

Work closely with manufacturing, design, quality and supply chain teams, maintain jigs, perform inspections with precise measuring tools, and contribute to continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing, assembly, tooling, jig build or precision engineering.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Experience with inspection/measurement equipment and attention to detail.
• Proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
• Good communication and teamwork across departments.

Responsibilities

• Build jig assemblies and parts to specification and tolerances.
• Interpret drawings and docs to ensure right-first-time work.
• Maintain jigs through lifecycle, including storage and handling.
• Carry out inspections using measurement equipment.
• Support leads and other teams to meet production deadlines.
• Identify tooling or jig issues and escalate.
• Maintain workshop safety, organization, and records.

This role is ideal for a hands-on technician who takes pride in delivering high-quality work, enjoys problem-solving, and thrives in a fast-paced, precision engineering environment.Working closely with Manufacturing, Production Engineering, Design, Quality, and Supply Chain teams, you will play a key role in ensuring jigs and fixtures are built, maintained, inspected, and delivered to the highest standards, supporting the successful manufacture of our Formula One race cars.### What you will be doing* Build jig assemblies and associated parts to the correct specification and required tolerances.* Interpret technical engineering drawings and manufacturing documentation to ensure work is completed accurately and right first time.* Take ownership of jigs throughout their lifecycle, ensuring they are received, handled, stored and maintained correctly.* Carry out inspection activities using relevant measurement equipment to verify accuracy and quality.* Work closely with the Lead Assembly Technician and wider Manufacturing teams to meet priorities, deadlines and production requirements.* Identify and escalate tooling, jig, consumable or technical issues that could impact quality or delivery.* Maintain accurate system records and high standards of workshop organisation, safety and professionalism, while supporting apprentices and continuous improvement.### What we are looking for* Experience within a manufacturing, assembly, tooling, jig build or precision engineering environment.* Ability to interpret and work confidently from technical engineering drawings and specifications.* Experience using inspection and measurement equipment, with strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.* A proactive, practical approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.* Good communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work across departments and meet demanding deadlines while maintaining quality and safety standards.### About you* You’ll be a motivated, reliable technician who takes pride in producing high-quality work, enjoys working as part of a team, and thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.This is an exciting opportunity to contribute directly to the manufacturing processes that support our Formula One programme.
