Red Bull Racing Formula One Team in Milton Keynes is seeking a Junior Manual Machinist (Chassis) to support manual machining for high‑quality F1 components. You will learn to set up and operate manual machines under guidance, read engineering drawings, and assist with tool changes and inspections in a fast-paced engineering environment.

This role offers a pathway to develop into a fully competent machinist, with exposure to precision manufacturing and quality control within a world‑class F1

• Some experience with manual machining is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate manual machines under supervision.
• Carry out machining safely and efficiently while developing methods.
• Use measuring equipment to inspect components against drawings.
• Interpret drawings and manufacturing instructions to meet standards.
• Support machinists with setups, tooling changes and general workshop tasks.
• Complete production documentation as required.
• Participate in training to progress toward fully competent machinist.

If you excel in a fast-paced, cutting-edge environment and have the skills to make a real impact, we want to hear from you!Red Bull Technology are looking for a Junior Manual Machinist (Chassis) to support the team to fully utilise internal manual machining processes and technologies, ensuring the delivery of high-quality components to the required standards and agreed delivery date. Additionally, the Junior Manual Machinist will support all departments by responding to short-lead-time requests on an ad hoc basis.### Key Responsibilities* Learn to set and operate manual machine tools, including XYZ milling machines, lathes and other workshop equipment, under the guidance of experienced Machinists and Team Leaders.* Carry out machining operations safely and efficiently while developing an understanding of machining principles, tooling and workholding methods.* Use a range of measuring equipment, including verniers, micrometers and gauges, to inspect components and ensure they meet drawing requirements.* Learn to interpret engineering drawings, specifications and manufacturing instructions to produce components to the required standard.* Support experienced machinists with machine setups, tooling changes and general workshop activities.* Complete production documentation and administrative tasks as required.* Develop an understanding of quality requirements and carry out inspections to identify any issues before parts are submitted for final inspection.* Actively participate in training and development opportunities to progress towards becoming a fully competent Manual Machinist.### Desired Skills & Experience* An interest in engineering, manufacturing or machining.* Some experience of manual machining, college training, apprenticeship training or engineering coursework would be beneficial.* Experience with or exposure to XYZ milling machines and Lathes would be advantageous but not essential.* Ability to read and understand basic engineering drawings.* Good attention to detail and willingness to learn.* Basic understanding of measuring equipment and inspection techniques.* Positive attitude, good communication skills and a strong work ethic.* Commitment to producing quality work and developing technical skills.At Red Bull Technology, we’re more than a Formula 1 team—we’re a high-performance innovation hub, pushing the limits of what’s possible.
