Job summary

Red Bull Technology is seeking a Lead Manufacturing Assembly Technician to join the Jig Management team. You will lead hands-on build, inspection, and support activities, interpreting drawings and specifications to ensure right-first-time delivery in a fast-paced environment.

You will guide technicians, drive continuous improvement, and contribute to safety, quality, and on-time delivery while collaborating across manufacturing functions.

Qualifications

• Experience in mechanical assembly, jig build, tooling or fixture manufacture in precision engineering.
• Ability to read engineering drawings, specs and inspection criteria to ensure first-pass quality.
• Strong problem-solving skills and track record delivering on-time quality in high-pressure environments.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on leadership within Jig Management and set high build quality standards.
• Build, inspect, rework, and support jigs, fixtures, tooling, and assembly parts to spec.
• Interpret drawings and inspection criteria to ensure right-first-time execution.
• Coordinate daily jig build, inspection, repair, and alignment with production priorities.
• Identify and contain jig/fixture issues, driving quick resolutions and reoccurrence prevention.
• Mentor technicians with day-to-day technical guidance to raise team capability.
• Contribute to continuous improvement focused on safety, quality, delivery, and waste reduction.

We are looking for a hands-on Lead Manufacturing Assembly Technician to join our Manufacturing team within Jig Management. This role is suited to an experienced technician who takes pride in precision workmanship, can support day-to-day workshop priorities, and is confident guiding others in a fast-paced, high-performance engineering environment.

Working closely with Production Control, Production Engineering, Quality, Design, Machining, Manufacturing Engineering, and Stores, you will help ensure jigs, fixtures, tooling, and assembly support items are built, inspected, maintained, and delivered to the required quality and timing standards.

What you will be doing

• Provide hands-on leadership within Jig Management, setting high standards for build quality, inspection discipline, safe working practices, professionalism, and delivery performance.
• Build, inspect, rework, and support jigs, fixtures, tooling, and assembly support items to the required quality and delivery standards.
• Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, build requirements, and inspection criteria to ensure work is completed right first time.
• Coordinate daily jig build, inspection, repair, and support activities in line with Production Control priorities and manufacturing programme requirements.
• Identify, investigate, contain, and escalation jig, fixture, and tooling issues, helping to resolve problems quickly and prevent recurrence.
• Provide day-to-day technical guidance, coaching, and support to technicians, helping develop team capability and maintain high-performance standards.
• Contribute to Continuous Improvement activity, identifying opportunities to improve safety, quality, delivery, efficiency, and waste reduction.

What we are looking for

• Extensive experience in mechanical assembly, jig build, tooling, fixture manufacture, or a similar precision engineering environment.
• Ability to interpret and work from engineering drawings, technical specifications, and inspection requirements.
• Strong practical problem-solving skills with the ability to identify, investigate, and resolve manufacturing, tooling, and quality issues.
• Experience working to demanding production schedules while maintaining excellent quality and safety standards.
• Previous experience in a lead technician, senior technician, team leader, or supervisory capacity would be advantageous.
• Knowledge of jig and fixture inspection, dimensional verification, Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, or high-performance manufacturing environments would be beneficial.
