Due to rural location of client site own transport is essential as not accessible via public transport
Our client is a leading bespoke manufacturer of high-end products within the marine sector. They design and manufacture in a purpose-built facility in Norfolk, and are focused on collaborating in a customer-led way, embedding customer excellence in product design, cost efficiency and delivery performance.
Responsibilities:
- Assemble aluminium Patio Door frames and related components to required specifications and quality standards.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, manufacturing instructions, and technical documentation.
- Measure, cut, drill, and prepare aluminium profiles using approved tools and equipment.
- Install hardware components, including hinges, handles, locks, gaskets, and glazing accessories.
- Safely operate and maintain a variety of hand tools, power tools, and assembly equipment.
- Ensure correct tool selection, handling, and storage throughout the assembly process, recognising that tool control is essential to product quality and workplace safety.
- Carry out quality inspections to verify dimensional accuracy, fit, finish, and overall compliance with specifications.
- Identify and report any defects, quality concerns, or opportunities for process improvement.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment in accordance with company health and safety procedures.
- Support continuous improvement activities and contribute to achieving production targets and delivery schedules.
Requirements:
- Previous experience within a manufacturing, fabrication, or assembly environment is preferred.
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and assembly instructions.
- Competent in the safe use, handling, and control of hand tools, power tools, and workshop equipment.
- Good understanding of aluminium fabrication and window assembly processes.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
- Flexible and adaptable approach to changing production requirements.
