Job summary

The Growth Company: Education & Skills is offering a manufacturing apprenticeship aimed at individuals eager to start a career on the shop floor in a light-manufacturing environment. You will unwrap rolls, load machines, manage documentation for subsequent processes, and help prepare equipment for the next job while maintaining a clean, safe workspace.

Training and development are provided, with opportunities to progress to additional roles as you gain competency and experience.

Qualifications

• GCSE English and Maths (A*-C/9-4) required.
• Good physical fitness due to manual tasks.
• Willingness to learn new skills and adapt.

Responsibilities

• Physically unwrap rolls and load into coating or slitting/converting machines.
• Unload processed rolls and complete documentation for next steps.
• Assist in preparing machines for the next job and wash down after use.
• Keep work area clean and tidy and hand over to the next shift.
• Follow Safe Systems of Work and report to the Cell Leader.
• Progressively learn more roles at a pace suited to competency.
