Job Description

We are seeking a skilled machinist to join our workshop team. The successful candidate will be responsible for:

1. Using manual lathe and mill equipment daily.
2. Operating other workshop machinery, including grinders and CNC machines.
3. Manufacturing parts according to engineering drawings.
4. Providing support and solutions for daily manufacturing challenges.
5. Maintaining production documentation such as route cards, tooling lists, process sheets, and inspection records.
6. Ensuring all work complies with company policies and health and safety legislation.
7. Inspecting and maintaining tooling, including identifying wear and replacement needs.

Skills and Experience

The Candidate

• Proficient with manual centre lathes and mills.
• Ability to read and interpret 2D drawings and geometric tolerances.
• Experience with surface and cylindrical grinding.
• Experience with CNC machining is advantageous.

The Package

Salary up to £35,000 plus discretionary bonus.
