Job description

Machinist:

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Machinist to work a Double Day Shift pattern in Fareham.

Introduction

The primary role of the Machinist will be to operate large, complex computerised machinery, log results and data, and work to achieve high-quality standards.

Responsibilities:

1. Operate, set up, and run large, complex machinery.
2. Maintain high-quality standards to produce the desired products.
3. Follow all health and safety procedures on site.
4. Participate in 5S methodology, ensuring work areas are clean, tidy, and compliant with HSE standards.

Ideal Experience:

While full training will be provided due to the machinery's complexity, the ideal candidate will have previous machining experience, especially with computerized controls, along with a positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills.

Experience or knowledge of engineering drawings or manufacturing processes would be advantageous.

The machinery on site is semi-automated with computerized controls, set up, monitored, and operated by Technicians. The machines include touch screens and computerized controls.

Salary Including Shift Allowance: £32,476

Hours: Early Shift 06:00 - 14:00, Late Shift 14:00 - 22:00
