Injection Mould Setters required near Southampton

Important

Our client is looking to recruit experienced Injection Moulding Setters to join their established, but growing, Injection Moulding Team at their manufacturing site in Southampton (Eastleigh).

Reporting day-to-day into a technical supervisor, you will be responsible for setting the specified Injection Moulding machines according to the production schedule.

Main duties will include, but are not limited to:

• Carrying out tool changes and setting machines using best practices and in accordance with health and safety procedures
• Supporting trials of new tools to achieve optimal performance
• Providing hands-on process support
• Ensuring efficient tool changes
• Optimising setting conditions
• Minimising scrap and material wastage
• Completing all necessary production recording documents
• Obtaining 'first and last off' approval samples
• Maintaining quality throughout the production run
• Liaising with management and operators to identify and address production issues
• Responsible for care and basic maintenance of machines and tools within agreed limits
• Coordinating with support staff for advanced maintenance and repairs
• Creating and managing master setting sheets
• Controlling and displaying production and quality instructions

Suitable candidates will have

• Previous experience in an injection moulding environment
• The ability to read technical drawings and use measuring devices
• The ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Served an apprenticeship or hold a relevant NVQ Level 3 qualification

Hours:

Weekly rotating 2-shift pattern across Monday to Friday

6am - 2pm and 2pm - 10pm
