North West Ambulance Service NHS Trust is seeking a skilled Manual Handling Advisor to support safer patient handling and ergonomic risk management across the organisation. You will provide expert advice, lead policy development and collaborate with operational teams to reduce injuries and protect staff wellbeing.

You will travel across the North West to work with managers and frontline staff, develop and implement training programmes, and promote a positive safety culture within a large NHS

Competenze

• Professional qualification in Ergonomics, Physiotherapy, Manual Handling, Occupational Health or related discipline.
• Willingness to obtain a recognised Manual Handling Trainer qualification.
• Demonstrable commitment to continued professional development.

Mansioni

• Provide expert advice on manual handling and ergonomic risk management.
• Lead development and continuous improvement of manual handling arrangements.
• Undertake manual handling risk assessments across clinical and non-clinical environments.
• Investigate manual handling incidents and injuries, identifying root causes and control measures.
• Analyse performance and incident data to identify risks and improvement opportunities.
• Support evaluation and introduction of equipment to reduce manual handling risks.
• Collaborate with Education and Training colleagues to develop training programmes.
• Promote a positive safety culture through coaching and continuous improvement.
