Job summary

Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board is looking for a Manual Handling Trainer/Advisor to deliver staff training in people handling and patient handling across the health board. The role includes delivering supervised and unsupervised sessions, maintaining records, and ensuring equipment is used safely.

Secondment until end of March 2027, with potential Welsh language considerations and equality commitments.

Qualifications

• Educated to NVQ Level 4 or equivalent relevant experience.
• Good general education with a minimum of GCSE C in English and Maths.
• Good IT skills including Word, Power-point, Spreadsheet, Publisher and Databases.
• Excellent presentation, verbal, written and demonstration skills.
• Knowledge of health and safety legislation and risk assessment in manual handling.

Responsibilities

• To report to the Manual Handling Trainer/Advisor and deliver people handling training.
• Provide specialist knowledge on practical manual handling issues and techniques.
• Feedback attendees performance and maintain training records.
• Deliver inanimate load handling training unsupervised with provided lesson plans.
• Ensure resources and safe use of equipment for training sessions.
