Job summary

Lodestone Recruitment Ltd, in partnership with our client in the Bradford area, is seeking a Manual Cylindrical Grinder. The successful applicant will have hands-on experience with manual or conventional cylindrical grinding and related processes.

You will benefit from regular days Monday to Friday, a salary of £34-35k per year with overtime at time-and-a-half, a permanent position from day one, 25 days holiday plus stats, onsite parking, and ongoing training and development.

Qualifications

• Apprentice-trained as a Manual Grinder.
• Experience with manual/conventional cylindrical grinding and related processes.
• Background in precision machining and small-batch or one-off work.
• Experience with gears, shafts, and gearbox components is a plus.
• Experience in Automotive, Oil & Gas, Aerospace sectors.

Responsibilities

• Operate manual/conventional cylindrical grinders to specification.
• Set up and adjust grinding machines and tooling.
• Ensure quality and precision for small-batch or one-off parts.

Lodestone Recruitment are working in partnership with our client in the Bradford area who have a requirement looking for a Manual Cylindrical Grinder working on regular days. Due to continued growth, this is a fantastic opportunity for someone to build a career in a well-established company in the area.

What We Are Looking For

• Ideally be apprentice trained as a Manual Grinder
• Must have experience of Manual or Conventional Cylindrical Grinding, Crankshaft Grinding, or Gear Grinding
• Ideally have experience in Automotive, Oil and Gas, Aerospace or similar sectors.
• Experience of precision machining and work on small batches or one offs.
• Any experience in the manufacture of gears, shafts and gearbox components would be favourable.

What Do You Get?

• A salary of £34-35k/annum + overtime paid at T1/2
