Job summary

Acorn by Synergie is recruiting an Assembly Operative for a large international company in Kingsbridge. You will assemble a range of products to specification, ensuring quality and safety throughout the production process.

Reading 2D drawings, measuring and cutting materials, and assembling using timber, foam and vinyl are core parts of the role. You will operate hand and power tools and maintain production paperwork in a clean, safe workspace, with an on-site parking facility.

Qualifications

• Excellent attention to detail and high accuracy.
• Good hand-eye coordination and the ability to follow detailed assembly instructions.
• Health & Safety aware; willing to wear PPE.
• Previous experience in assembly/manufacturing desirable but not essential.
• Full clean driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Read and understand 2D drawings for build stages.
• Prepare, measure and cut materials according to drawings and specifications.
• Assemble products using timber, foam and vinyl.
• Perform peer-to-peer quality checks on assemblies.
• Safely operate hand and power tools (e.g., chop saws, drills).
• Complete and maintain production paperwork.
• Maintain a clean, safe working area.
• Follow Health & Safety procedures and quality standards.
• Work efficiently to meet production targets.

Manual Assembly Operative

Kingsbridge | £14 per hour | Monday to Thursday, 6am-5pm | Temporary to Permanent | Immediate Start

As an Assembly Operative, you will be responsible for assembling a range of products and components to specification, ensuring high standards of quality, accuracy and safety are maintained throughout the production process.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Read and understand 2D technical drawings in preparation for different build stages.
• Prepare, measure and cut materials accurately in accordance with drawings and specifications.
• Assemble a variety of products using materials including timber, foam and vinyl.
• Carry out peer-to-peer quality checks on completed assemblies.
• Safely operate a range of hand and power tools, including chop saws, drills and impact drivers.
• Complete and maintain relevant production paperwork and documentation.
• Maintain a clean, organised and safe working area.
• Follow all company Health & Safety procedures and quality standards.
• Work efficiently to meet production targets and deadlines.

Requirements

• Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
• Good hand-eye coordination and the ability to follow detailed assembly instructions.
• Health & Safety aware, with a willingness to wear the required PPE.
• Previous experience in assembly, manufacturing or a similar environment is desirable but not essential.
