Job summary

Acorn Recruitment is recruiting a Furniture Assembly Operative on the outskirts of Newton Abbot. You will assemble, check and finish metal and upholstered furniture using hand and power tools, following job sheets and diagrams. Immediate start with a temporary-to-permanent contract.

Hours are Mon-Thu 7:30am-4:30pm and Fri 7:30am-1:15pm, with pay £12.71 per hour rising to £13.45 after 12 weeks, and on-site parking available. This is a rewarding role in a growing mobility furniture company.

Qualifications

• Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
• Ability to follow safety procedures and assembly instructions.
• Practical problem-solving skills, especially when parts do not align.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Good basic communication skills.
• Previous furniture assembly or manufacturing experience would be advantageous.
