Job summary

Pro-Found Recruitment are on look out for an Assembly Operative for our client based in Rotherham. The role is temporary to permanent, with a day shift and potential move to rotating shifts after 12 weeks.

The successful candidate will assemble cabinets, work on production lines, perform quality checks, and handle packing tasks. Physically demanding with manual handling and teamwork required.

• Previous assembly/manufacturing experience – essential.
• Experience of operating and using hand tools – essential.
• Ability to follow instructions and work to targets.
• Physically demanding role with regular manual handling.
• Willing to learn new skills and work in a team.

Pro-Found Recruitment are on look out for an Assembly Operative for our client based in Rotherham.

Assembly Operative Benefits

• Shift: Day Shift – Monday to Thursday 08:00am – 16:30pm & Friday’s 08:00am – 15:30pm – please note the role could move to a 2 shift rotating pattern after 12 weeks – Monday to Friday 6am to 2pm & 2pm to 10pm
• Rate of Pay: £13.83 per hour
• Hours: 39 hours per week paid weekly
• Start date: Monday 7th September 2026 – please do not apply if you have a holiday booked in the next 12 weeks as this is the crucial training period
• Contract: Temporary to Permanent based on performance and attendance
• Location: Rotherham

Assembly Operative Criteria

• Previous assembly/manufacturing experience – essential
• Hard working, reliable and punctual
• Experience of operating and using hand tools essential
• Experience of joinery/carpentry preferred but not essential
• Machine operating experience preferred
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to follow instructions
• Good work ethic and prepared to learn new skills
• Please note this is a very physically demanding role and requires regular manual handling as part of the day to day duties**
