Job summary

Deliveroo Edinburgh is recruiting a Field-Based Business Development Representative, Mandarin Speaking, to grow restaurant partnerships within the UKI market. This hybrid role focuses on signing high-value Chinese restaurant partners and expanding Deliveroo’s footprint across London and surrounding territories while engaging Mandarin-speaking restaurants directly.

The role requires strong negotiation, autonomy, and proven new business acquisition.

Qualifications

• Fluent Mandarin with ability to negotiate and build partnerships.
• Proven track record in acquiring new business and meeting targets.
• Strong commercial negotiation skills and market understanding.
• Autonomy and resilience for field-based work.

Responsibilities

• Drive regional restaurant acquisition: map, prospect, pitch, and close high-value Chinese restaurant partners across London and surrounding territories to expand our local marketplace selection.
• Execute strategic business development: engage directly with independent restaurants in Mandarin or Cantonese via visits, calls, and social platforms to demonstrate value of Deliveroo’s technology.
• Own the commercial onboarding journey: oversee end-to-end partner onboarding to ensure speed, efficiency, and seamless onboarding.
• Secure early partner success: support and monitor new restaurant performance in their first eight weeks on the platform.
• Act as a local territory expert: build deep insight into the regional Asian culinary scene, traveling across London and adjacent areas like Oxford, Cambridge, and Norwich.
