Comrise in West Drayton (near London Heathrow) is seeking a Full-Time Customs Manager to oversee UK import and export clearance, lead a customs team, and ensure compliant operations with HMRC.

The role requires 3+ years in UK customs, experience with CDS, strong knowledge of HS codes, Import VAT and duties, and fluent Mandarin and English. On-site position based near Heathrow with competitive salary and annual bonus.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of UK customs brokerage or international logistics operations.
• Proven team leadership in daily customs operations.
• Experience with air freight, freight forwarding, or cross-border logistics is preferred.
• Proficient in CDS and related declaration systems.
• Strong knowledge of HS Codes, Import VAT, and Customs Duties.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily UK import and export customs clearance operations.
• Lead the customs team and allocate daily tasks to maximise productivity.
• Review entry documentation for HMRC compliance and accuracy.
• Manage inspections, holds, and clearance exceptions; liaise with clients, HMRC, and authorities.
• Resolve complex customs issues and optimise workflows and procedures.
• Maintain communication with clients, warehouse, transport teams and overseas agents.
• Monitor changes to UK customs policies and ensure ongoing compliance.
