Job summary

People First Team China 中国团队 in London is seeking a Mandarin-speaking FX Trader Assistant to join our Global Market group on a full-time basis. The role is office-based and reports to the General Manager - Global Market in London.

You will manage FX client positions, quote prices, ensure regulatory reporting, and support trading operations while working with the London team and Head Office. A Bachelor’s degree in Economics or Finance, fluency in English and Mandarin, banking experience, and UK

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance or related discipline.
• Excellent English and Mandarin communication skills.
• Relevant work experience in a bank or financial institution.
• Knowledge of foreign exchange and related markets with trading support.
• Strong compliance and risk awareness; confidentiality.
• Ability to work shifts and provide overnight trading coverage; UK work eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Manage FX client positions and customer platforms daily within risk limits.
• Quote and manage FX positions as a market maker.
• Report transaction data per UK and Chinese regulatory requirements.
• Assist Global Markets (London) team in achieving objectives set by Head Office.
• Provide trading support and undertake office administration and ad hoc duties.
• Other ad hoc tasks as assigned by Line Manager.
