Job summary

People First Recruitment is seeking a Mandarin-speaking Assistant FX Trader in London to manage FX client positions and quote/handle FX quotations within market risk limits. The role involves reporting to the General Manager – Global Market (London) and working in a fast-paced, regulated environment.

Candidates should hold a degree in economics/finance, be fluent in English and Mandarin, and have prior banking or financial institution experience.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or above in Economics, Finance or related discipline.
Excellent communication skills in English and Mandarin.
Relevant work experience in a bank or financial institution.
Practical knowledge of foreign exchange, interest-rate and relevant markets operation, with the ability to provide trading support.

Responsibilities

Stay abreast of local regulatory requirements in the banking industry and ensure operations are compliant with local regulations at all times.
Execute position operations within authorised trading and market risk limits.
Monitor and ensure the accuracy of quotations for customers and market makers.
Monitor market trends and report to the General Manager of the London Centre when required.
Provide trading support and undertake other office administration and ad-hoc duties as assigned.
Other ad-hoc tasks as assigned by Line Manager.
