Job summary

Intersect Global Ltd. are seeking a Managing Quantity Surveyor to take ownership of a £30M workstream within major Civil Engineering & Utilities projects. You will lead a team of five Quantity Surveyors and work under a Tier 1 contractor, with clear progression toward Commercial Manager.

Hybrid working is offered, with strong NEC contract governance and value engineering opportunities across the NEC framework.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent.
Strong NEC contract knowledge and experience.
Proven commercial management and cost control experience.
Experience with CVRs, forecasting, change management and subcontract procurement.
Ability to manage and develop junior commercial staff.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

Managing and developing a team of five Quantity Surveyors.
Taking commercial ownership of a £30M workstream.
Supporting the Commercial Manager with the development of the commercial function.
Working towards progression into a Commercial Manager role.
Cost forecasting and financial reporting.
CVR and commercial performance management.
Reviewing and managing contractual and commercial notices.
Producing accurate commercial and client reporting.
Working closely with Project Managers to maximise commercial performance.
Ensuring compliance with NEC contract requirements.
