Job summary

Intersect Global Ltd is seeking a Managing Quantity Surveyor to lead a £30M workstream within major utility and infrastructure projects. You will manage a team of five QS, drive commercial strategy, and report to the Commercial Manager.

Ideal candidates are Senior/Managing Quantity Surveyors with NEC contract experience, strong cost control, and a clear path toward Commercial Manager within a year, in a hybrid UK role.

Qualifications

• BSc in Quantity Surveying or equivalent.
• Strong NEC knowledge and experience.
• Proven commercial management and cost control experience.
• Experience with CVRs, forecasting, change management and subcontract procurement.
• Ability to manage and develop junior commercial staff.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Stable career history with progression intent.

Responsibilities

• Manage and develop a team of five Quantity Surveyors.
• Take commercial ownership of a £30M workstream.
• Support development of the commercial function with the Commercial Manager.
• Progress toward Commercial Manager role within ~12 months.
• Cost forecasting and financial reporting, CVR, and commercial performance management.
• Value engineering, cost optimisation, and subcontract procurement.
• Change management, contract notices, and NEC compliance.
• Collaborate with clients and subcontractors; report to Project Managers.
