Job summary

Danaher & Walsh is seeking a Managing Quantity Surveyor to lead the commercial team across a portfolio of civil engineering projects in the Midlands. You will oversee contract performance, maximise value, and provide guidance on commercial and contractual matters from award through to completion.

The role includes preparing monthly commercial reports, managing cost-to-complete reviews, and mentoring team members while ensuring compliance with NEC3/NEC4, JCT and ICC contracts.

Qualifications

Experience leading a commercial team in civil engineering.
Knowledge of NEC3/NEC4, JCT and ICC contracts.
Familiarity with measurement rules MMHW and CESMM.

Responsibilities

Lead the commercial team to meet contractual requirements on time.
Identify commercial risks and opportunities at delivery stage.
Prepare and present monthly contract reports to the Commercial Manager.
Oversee cost-to-complete reviews twice monthly across all contracts.
Support project teams to maximise value and control costs.
