Job summary

Mane Contract Services is seeking an experienced Managing Quantity Surveyor to join our Overhead Lines Commercial Team, supporting major infrastructure and utility projects. You will focus on profitability, risk management and client relationships, while collaborating with project teams and subcontractors.

You will bring a qualified Quantity Surveyor background with infrastructure experience and strong NEC contract knowledge, delivering robust commercial outputs and proactive risk controls.

Qualifications

• Qualified Quantity Surveyor with relevant commercial experience.
• Experience on infrastructure, utilities or major projects.
• Knowledge of Electrical Transmission/Overhead Lines is desirable.
• Strong understanding of NEC3/NEC4, contract law and commercial management.
• Experience in subcontract management, valuations, variations and claims.
• Strong analytical, negotiation and communication skills.
• Excellent IT skills, particularly Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• Commercially astute with a strong understanding of project costs and profitability.

Responsibilities

• Manage commercial reporting, forecasting, cost/value reconciliation and project profitability.
• Monitor project risks and maintain effective commercial risk registers.
• Manage subcontractors and suppliers, including valuations, variations, claims and final accounts.
• Support the management of compensation events, delays, variations and contractual claims.
• Prepare commercial reports, records and documentation, ensuring deadlines are met.
• Attend project and commercial meetings and provide effective commercial support to project teams.
• Ensure compliance with company procedures, contractual requirements and HSEQ policies.
