THE OPPORTUNITY
The Private ClientInvestment Managing Director would be an integral leadership position within Cambridge Associates’ rapidly growing Private Client Practice with a focus on expanding private client and institutional business in French speaking regions of Europe.
Investment Directors in the Private Client Practice are part of a team who services more than private families advising on both taxable and charitable assets. Our clients range in asset size from ~$ million to more than $10 billion and are located in over 35 countries worldwide. Investment Directors work with colleagues to help clients meet or exceed their investment objectives and enhance the long-term investment performance of their portfolios. The Manager Director would be responsible for leading and co-leading client relationships (both discretionary and non-discretionary) interacting directly with key decision makers (family members, Board or IC members, Family Office or Investment Office staff and outside advisors), driving investment strategy, asset allocation structures, investment manager structures and guidelines, investment manager selection and evaluation, and performance monitoring. The Managing Director is also responsible for the management and development of the supporting investment team.
In addition to their work with existing clients, Investment Directors partner with Global Client Solutions and the Private Client Practice leadership teams to pursue new private client relationships. Investment Director responsibilities regarding new business development include building referral networks through strong work with existing clients and related outside advisors, partnering with business development professionals to qualify prospective clients, building presentation materials and leading presentations alongside team members.
