Conister Bank Limited, based in the Isle of Man, seeks an experienced banking executive to become the Managing Director. You will lead the Bank's performance, strategy, and governance, reporting to the Chair and parent CEO, shaping long-term success.

You will drive strategic plans, manage profitability, and represent the Bank with regulators, the Board, and stakeholders while delivering robust customer service. This role requires UK-Isle of Man market expertise and relocation flexibility.

Based in the Isle of Man, an exceptional opportunity has arisen for an experienced banking executive to join Conister Bank Limited as its next Managing Director.

Reporting directly to the Chair of the Bank and CEO of the parent group, this pivotal leadership role offers the chance to shape the strategic direction, drive sustainable growth, enhance profitability, and lead the long-term success of a well-established and highly respected financial institution.

As Managing Director, you will take overall responsibility for the leadership and performance of the Bank, ensuring strategic objectives are delivered while maintaining the highest standards of governance, regulatory compliance, and customer service.

About the opportunity:

• Drive and deliver the Bank's strategic vision and business plans.
• Lead profitability, business growth and operational performance.
• Identify and develop new commercial opportunities and strategic partnerships.
• Manage and develop teams across both the Isle of Man and the UK.
• Provide leadership, coaching and succession planning to develop future talent.
• Work closely with the Board, regulators and key stakeholders.
• Act as a spokesperson for the Bank, supporting media and public relations activities.
• Ensure ongoing compliance with Isle of Man and UK regulatory requirements.

About You:

We are seeking a proven banking or financial services leader with the expertise, strategic vision, and leadership capability to demonstrate:

• A recognised UK professional banking qualification.
• Previous approval under the UK's Senior Managers & Certification Regime (SMF1, SMF3 or SMF18) or equivalent.
• Extensive leadership experience within banking or financial services.
• Strong knowledge of UK and Isle of Man banking markets, including asset finance and deposit products.
• A deep understanding of regulatory expectations across the Isle of Man and UK financial services sectors.
• Proven ability to lead high-performing teams, drive commercial growth and influence at Board level.
• Eligible to work and live on the Isle of Man or be prepared to relocate as required.
