Job summary

Search & Select partners with a distinguished international financial services organisation on the Isle of Man to appoint an Independent Non-Executive Director (INED) and Board Audit Committee Chair. This permanent, board-level role requires independent judgement to oversee financial reporting, audits, internal controls and the broader assurance framework.

The opportunity: Independent Non-Executive Director (INED) & Board Audit Committee Chair.

This is a permanent, board-level appointment carrying both the prestige and the responsibility that come with chairing a Board Audit Committee within a regulated international banking environment. You will bring independent judgement and strategic insight to a high-performing board, while leading the audit committee's oversight of financial reporting, internal and external audit, internal controls and the wider assurance framework.

You will also contribute meaningfully to strategy, risk management, regulatory compliance and governance making this a role where your voice truly shapes outcomes.

What we are looking for:

• A proven track record in senior audit, accounting, assurance or audit-governance roles.
• Previous experience chairing a Board Audit Committee - this is an essential requirement.
• Strong financial literacy with expertise in financial reporting, internal controls and integrated assurance.
• Relevant AML/CFT and financial crime experience to challenge management and assess regulatory risk.
• Previous Independent Non-Executive Director experience within a regulated financial services environment.

Type: Permanent

Time Commitment: Minimum 36 days per year

IOM resident and be able to attend board meetings in person.
