Where will you be working?

MEICA and capital maintenance - Our Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Control & Automation (MEICA) experts offer a one-stop solution, including ongoing operation and maintenance services.

What will you be doing?

We are seeking a visionary and results-driven Managing Director to lead our Major Projects and Strategic Clients business unit. This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for overseeing the delivery of complex MEICA projects across highly regulated industrial sectors. You will lead a multidisciplinary team of over 1,100 operatives, ensuring operational excellence, strategic growth, and sustained profitability.

Requirements:

  • Build and lead a high-performing, multidisciplinary delivery team with a culture of collaboration, safety, and continuous improvement.
  • Lead the operational business unit while ensuring bottom-line profitability and delivering c£150M turnover annually at 8.5% EBITDA.
  • Oversee delivery operations across major projects and strategic client portfolios.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to drive revenue growth, profitability, and operational capability.
  • Champion innovation through MMC and offsite prefabrication, leveraging group manufacturing facilities.
  • Establish and maintain a network of critical suppliers and strategic subcontractors to build resilience and enable growth.
  • Ensure consistent project mobilisation, governance, and risk management across the portfolio.
  • Lead the development of performance monitoring systems and dashboards for multistakeholder use.
  • Maintain a strong repeat client base and actively pursue new business opportunities.

Skills and Knowledge Requirements:
  • Significant experience in leading large-scale delivery operations for complex projects.
  • Proven track record of MEICA project delivery within highly regulated industrial sectors.
  • Recognised industry leader with successful delivery of technically complex, large-scale projects.
  • Membership of relevant professional and technical bodies.
  • Substantial knowledge of multistakeholder requirements in regulated sectors.
  • Extensive experience working on registered and nominated sites
  • Expertise in project governance, control, and risk management.
  • Strong understanding of industrial relations and workforce planning.
  • Collaborate across business units and functional teams.
  • Drive operational excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Foster a growth mindset and position the business as the delivery partner of choice for complex projects.
