Job description

The Move to -15°C Coalition is a cross-industry collaboration aiming to reset frozen food temperature standards globally to reduce greenhouse gases and lower supply chain costs. Founded at COP28 in 2023 after the launch of the Three Degrees of Change report, more information is available at movetominus15.com.

The coalition recognizes that changing global temperature standards requires collective effort, bringing together key players from the global food supply chain to shift from -18°C to -15°C.

Location: Remote, with travel to London and global events.

The CEO/Managing Director will provide visionary leadership and operational oversight, working closely with the Board, Advisory Council, and Secretariat to set strategic direction, ensure operational excellence, grow membership, secure finances, and represent the coalition externally.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Strategic Leadership: Delivering on the mission, advancing workstreams like pilots and baseline initiatives.
• Governance: Securing Board approval, overseeing recruitment, maintaining transparent communication.
• Financial Stewardship: Developing fundraising and membership models, ensuring financial health, overseeing budgets.
• Operational Oversight: Managing daily operations, implementing systems for growth.
• Membership Engagement: Attracting new members, especially from underrepresented regions, maintaining stakeholder relations.
• External Relations: Serving as the chief spokesperson, overseeing communication strategies.

Candidate Profile:

• Senior leadership experience, preferably in coalitions, NGOs, or membership organizations.
