Job description

The Move to -15°C Coalition is a cross-industry collaboration aiming to reset global frozen food temperature standards to reduce greenhouse gases and lower supply chain costs. Founded at COP28 in 2023 after the launch of the Three Degrees of Change report, more information is available at movetominus15.com.

The Coalition recognizes that changing global temperature standards requires collective effort, bringing together key players from the food supply chain to transition from -18°C to -15°C.

Location: Remote, with travel to London and global events required.

The CEO/Managing Director will provide visionary leadership and operational oversight, working closely with the Board, Advisory Council, and Secretariat. Responsibilities include setting strategic direction, ensuring operational excellence, growing membership, securing financial sustainability, and representing the coalition externally.

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic Leadership and Vision: Ensure the Coalition advances its mission to change frozen food temperature standards and make progress across key initiatives, including pilots and baseline measurements.
2. Governance: Obtain Board and Advisory Council approval for strategic plans, oversee recruitment and onboarding of staff and service providers, and maintain transparent communication with the Board.
3. Financial Stewardship and Fundraising: Develop fundraising and membership fee models for 2026–2031, ensure financial health, oversee reporting, and monitor budgets.
4. Operational Oversight: Manage daily operations, implement systems and processes to support growth and impact.
5. Membership Strategy and Engagement: Attract new members from key geographies and sectors, promote the Coalition’s work, and maintain engagement with existing members.
6. External Relations and Representation: Act as the chief spokesperson, represent the Coalition at events, and oversee communication strategies.
