Job summary

Additional Resources is seeking a Team Manager for our not-for-profit adult social care service in Greater London. You will lead a registered care service, ensuring person-centred support, safety and regulatory compliance, with a salary of £40,000 for 37.5 hours per week.

Responsibilities include coaching staff, rota planning across day and night shifts, managing referrals and reviews, and developing individual care plans that promote independence and choice for people with learning disabilities.

Qualifications

  • Proven track record in team management within care settings (not-for-profit preferred).
  • Experience supporting people with learning disabilities, autism or mental health needs.
  • Knowledge of CQC regulations, safeguarding and Essential Care Standards.

Responsibilities

Job description

An opportunity has arisen for a Team Manager to join a not-for-profit adult social care organisation supporting people with disabilities, autism and mental health support needs.

As a Team Manager, you willlead and manage a registered care service, ensuring person-centred support, effective team leadership, safety and regulatory compliance.

This full-time role offers salary of £40,000 for 37.5 work hours and benefits.

You will be responsible for:

  • Leading, coaching and developing colleagues in person-centred support practices and approaches.
  • Managing risks effectively by ensuring individual needs, preferences and priorities are understood, with families involved where appropriate.
  • Overseeing personalised rota planning across day, night and overnight support to reflect the needs, interests and goals of the people supported.
  • Managing key working responsibilities and supporting individuals through referral, assessment and review processes.
  • Developing person-centred support plans that reflect lifestyle choices, support networks and what is important to each individual.
  • Promoting greater choice, independence and control for the people supported.
  • Monitoring quality and safety measures, completing required audits and ensuring resources are managed effectively.
  • Addressing concerns promptly and maintaining high standards across the service.
What we are looking for:
  • Previously worked as a Team Manager, Service manager, Supported living manager or in a similar role.
  • Experience supporting people with learning disabilities.
  • Background embedding person-centred approaches within a care setting.
  • Knowledge of CQC regulations, Essential Care Standards, safeguarding and relevant regulatory frameworks.
  • A track record of promoting choice and control for people with learning disabilities.
  • Understanding of the challenges that people with disabilities may experience.
  • Proven ability to lead, manage and motivate a team.
