Description

Amazon EU Fresh & Perishable Grocery is seeking a Manager III, Instock Management to lead a high-performing team responsible for delivering exceptional customer availability, inventory health, and supply chain performance across Amazon Fresh UK. This leader will own end-to-end instock strategy across multiple grocery categories, balancing customer experience, operational efficiency, and cost through scalable supply chain solutions.

The successful candidate will lead a team of Instock Managers while partnering with Category, Vendor Management, Supply Chain, Operations, Product, Finance, and Technology teams to solve complex business problems and drive strategic initiatives. They will use deep analytical insight to influence senior stakeholders, improve vendor and supply chain performance, automate manual processes, and establish scalable mechanisms that raise the operational bar.

Operating with significant autonomy, this leader will define strategic priorities, lead medium-to-large cross-functional programs, and deliver measurable improvements in availability, inventory productivity, and customer experience. They will also be responsible for developing high-performing talent, building an inclusive team culture, and creating long-term mechanisms that support Amazon Fresh's continued growth across the EU Fresh & Perishable Grocery business.

Key job responsibilities

Lead a team of Instock Managers to deliver best-in-class customer availability, inventory health, and operational performance across Amazon Fresh UK, while developing high-performing talent and fostering an inclusive, customer-obsessed culture.

Own end-to-end instock strategy across multiple Fresh and Perishable Grocery categories, balancing customer experience, inventory productivity, cost, and supply chain efficiency through data-driven decision making.

Partner with Category, Vendor Management, Supply Chain, Operations, Finance, Product, and Technology teams to identify root causes, influence strategic priorities, and deliver scalable cross-functional solutions that improve customer outcomes.

Drive automation and process improvements by identifying opportunities to eliminate manual work, define system requirements, and influence technical teams to implement long-term scalable mechanisms across the business.

Build strong relationships with strategic vendors and internal stakeholders to improve service levels, reduce lead times, remove waste, and enhance end-to-end supply chain performance.

Lead medium-to-large strategic programs, establish performance mechanisms, define success metrics, and communicate business insights and recommendations to senior leadership, influencing decisions across the organization.

Attract, hire, coach, and develop diverse talent while setting clear goals, maintaining high performance standards, and creating mechanisms that enable continuous learning and operational excellence.

A day in the life

No two days are the same. You'll lead a team of Instock Managers while partnering with Category, Vendor Management, Supply Chain, Operations, Finance, Product, and Tech teams to improve customer availability and supply chain performance. You'll review key business metrics, dive deep into complex operational challenges, prioritize strategic initiatives, influence senior stakeholders, and drive scalable process and automation improvements. You'll coach and develop your team, engage with strategic vendors, and lead cross-functional programs that improve customer experience, reduce cost, and support the continued growth of Amazon Fresh EU.

The Amazon EU Fresh & Perishable Grocery Instock Management team is responsible for ensuring customers can reliably find the products they love while building a scalable, efficient, and resilient supply chain. We partner closely with Category, Vendor Management, Operations, Product, and Tech teams to solve complex supply chain challenges using data, automation, and innovation. Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or experience in a relevant field
  • Experience in a people management role, leading teams and growing organizations
  • Experience in procurement, supply chain, inventory management, contract management, lease administration or operations
  • Experience experience using data and metrics to measure impact and determine improvements
  • Experience leading cross-functional projects and implementing strategic initiatives
  • Experience communicating results to senior leadership, or experience communicating complex information and solutions to senior stakeholders and influencing decisions
  • Experience with data analysis tools such as Excel, Pivot Tables, macros, SQL, visualization tools - Tableau, Quicksight, etc.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment, or experience delivering results for large, cross-functional initiatives/projects
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree, or MBA in supply chain management, operations, engineering, analytics or related field
  • Experience in high impact roles in operations including Vendor Management, Supply Chain, and Retail Operations
  • Experience influencing multiple stakeholders and leading cross functional teams across geographies and business units
  • Experience in creating process improvements with automation and analysis, or experience communicating complex information and solutions to senior stakeholders and influencing decisions
  • Experience working with customers, technical teams, and management to collect requirements, describe software product features, and technical designs
  • Experience in strategic sourcing including vendor negotiations, global contract management, process improvement, operational and financial analysis
  • Experience working with Excel, reporting tools, and large-scale data mining tools, such as Power BI, Python, SQL, or Tableau, or experience with advanced use of SQL for data mining and business intelligence
  • Experience communicating complex information and solutions to senior stakeholders and influencing decisions, or experience using complex financial models, KPIs, and data analysis to inform strategic business decisions and influence cross-functional stakeholders, with proven business impact (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits)
  • Experience working in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment, or experience in multiple finance and accounting roles
  • Experience building, managing and coaching a team in a high-growth environment
