Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate accounting records for a portfolio of fund and corporate structures
• Prepare financial statements, investor reporting and other deliverables
• Coordinate fund accounting activities, including complex transactions and regular client reporting
• Manage client, auditor and advisor queries with timely solutions
• Build and maintain strong client relationships and understanding of client structures
• Support onboarding of new structures and transitions of existing business
• Contribute to process improvements and maintain robust accounting procedures
• Provide guidance and support to junior team members

Job description

We are working with a leading funds services business seeking an experienced Fund Accountant to join its team. This is an excellent opportunity for an ACA/ACCA-qualified professional with strong funds experience to take responsibility for a varied portfolio, deliver high-quality financial reporting and build strong client relationships within a professional and growing environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maintain accurate accounting records for a portfolio of fund and corporate structures
• Prepare financial statements, investor reporting and other financial deliverables within agreed deadlines
• Co-ordinate fund accounting activities, including complex transactions and regular client reporting
• Manage client, auditor and advisor queries, providing timely and effective solutions
• Build and maintain strong client and professional relationships, developing an in-depth understanding of client structures
• Support the onboarding of new structures and transitions of existing business
• Contribute to process improvements, technology development and maintaining robust accounting procedures
• Provide guidance and support to junior team members

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

• ACA or ACCA qualified
• Significant experience in a funds environment at a similar level, with strong accounts preparation experience
• Strong technical knowledge of IFRS and UK GAAP
• Sound understanding of financial services regulations and relevant legal requirements
