Job summary

Maven Partners Offshore in Jersey is seeking an experienced Fund Accountant to join its funds services team. ACA/ACCA-qualified professionals with strong funds experience will take responsibility for a varied portfolio, deliver high-quality financial reporting and build durable client relationships.

You will maintain accounting records, prepare statements and investor reporting, coordinate activities, and support onboarding of new structures while contributing to process improvements.

Qualifications

• ACA or ACCA qualified.
• Significant funds experience with strong accounts preparation.
• IFRS and UK GAAP knowledge.
• Understanding of financial services regulations and legal requirements.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate accounting records for fund and corporate structures.
• Prepare financial statements, investor reporting and other financial deliverables within agreed deadlines.
• Coordinate fund accounting activities, including complex transactions and regular client reporting.
• Manage client, auditor and advisor queries, providing timely and effective solutions.
• Build and maintain strong client and professional relationships, developing an in-depth understanding of client structures.
• Support the onboarding of new structures and transitions of existing business.
• Contribute to process improvements, technology development and maintaining robust accounting procedures.
• Provide guidance and support to junior team members.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

• ACA or ACCA qualified
• Significant experience in a funds environment at a similar level, with strong accounts preparation experience
• Strong technical knowledge of IFRS and UK GAAP
• Sound understanding of financial services regulations and relevant legal requirements
