Department Information and Context

The Finance Transformation team aims to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of finance functions, delivering valuable insights. Our mission is to help clients create a digitally enabled, human-centric, integrated finance function.

Our practice focuses on understanding core issues and opportunities to deliver value through technology implementations, efficiency improvements, and maturity progression. We are a team of experienced problem solvers working with technology professionals to deliver KPMG Powered Enterprise through a standardized delivery model.

Roles & Responsibilities

The role is within our Finance Transformation team, working with clients to improve their finance operating models, often involving technology enhancements. We aim to position finance as a strategic partner driving growth and decision-making.

Applicants should have prior experience in large corporates and in-depth knowledge of finance processes and technology. Responsibilities include:

  • Managing transformation programs, planning, and executing engagements
  • Organizing work packages, overseeing data analysis, and facilitating workshops
  • Maintaining relationships with key client stakeholders
  • Identifying finance operating model improvements
  • Overseeing client reports and quality assurance
  • Managing engagement teams

Risk Management:

  • Managing risks, engagement assurance, and project budgets
  • Supporting risk management frameworks

Business Development:

  • Supporting client relationships and expanding engagements
  • Preparing RFP responses and proposals
  • Developing market-leading materials and representing KPMG externally

People Development:

  • Performance management and talent reviews
  • Training, knowledge sharing, and mentoring

Practice Development:

  • Contributing to methodology development
  • Supporting operational responsibilities within the team

Skills, Experience & Qualifications

Candidates should have:

  • 6+ years experience in finance functions or consulting
  • Proven ability to manage finance improvement projects
  • Knowledge of core finance processes and interdependencies
  • Experience with ERP technologies (Microsoft Dynamics, SAP, Oracle, WorkDay)
  • Strong understanding of finance operating models
  • Ability to shape deliverables and articulate challenges
  • Relevant large corporate experience and sector knowledge
