Job summary

Travis Perkins in Hartlepool invites ambitious graduates to join a fast-track Management Trainee Programme designed to build leadership and business acumen from the ground up.

Over two years you’ll rotate across branches, learn stock management, develop customer relationships, and shadow senior leaders while working Mon-Fri 7:30am-5:00pm with occasional Saturday mornings. A driving licence is required; no prior experience is needed as we hire for potential.

What You'll Actually Be Doing

Forget coffee runs and admin duties. This is an immersive, hands‑on commercial experience. You'll learn how a multi‑million‑pound business operates from the inside out rotating around different departments of branches:

• Learn the Core Business: Work across the warehouse, manage stock, and go on the road with delivery teams to understand our full supply chain.
• Build Customer Relationships: Work directly with trade customers, handle sales on the counter, and learn how commercial deals happen.
• Develop Leadership Skills: Shadow experienced Branch Managers to learn financial management, operational safety, and how to lead a high-performing team.
