Job summary

Travis Perkins plc is launching a Fast Track Management Trainee Programme in Northampton to fast-track your leadership journey in the UK’s largest builders merchant. You’ll rotate through core functions, learning stock control, customer service, and branch operations.

No prior experience is required; we hire for potential, drive and attitude and will teach you the rest through a structured two-year programme, with an assessment centre date on Wednesday 23rd September.

Responsibilities

• Learn the Core Business: Work across the warehouse, manage stock, and go on the road with delivery teams to understand our full supply chain.
• Build Customer Relationships: Work directly with trade customers, handle sales on the counter, and learn how commercial deals happen.
• Develop Leadership Skills: Shadow experienced Branch Managers to learn financial management, operational safety, and how to lead a high-performing team.

• Salary: Competitive salary + performance bonus + comprehensive benefits package
• Programme: 2 year structured Management Trainee Programme
• Location: Northampton
• Working Hours: Mon–Fri, 7:30am–5:00pm + alternate Saturday mornings (8:00am–12:00pm)
