Cast UK is partnering with Bunzl Catering Supplies, a leading distributor of disposables, packaging, and hygiene solutions for the hospitality, catering, public sector, education, and healthcare industries. The company is experiencing continued growth through attracting new customers and expanding existing accounts.

The successful Management Accounts Assistant will play a key role in analyzing and providing commercial insights across the business, partnering with the Sales team and liaising with Suppliers to ensure effective pricing, rebate control, and maintaining healthy cash flow.

Key Responsibilities

• Calculate and maintain accurate discount accruals.
• Prepare discount payments on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
• Liaise with the sales team and customers regarding discounts and provide ad hoc assistance related to rebates.
• Prepare monthly discount and customer balance sheet reconciliations.
• Review rebate elements of Customer Contracts & Heads of Terms.
• Authorize and assist Credit Control with coding for settlement discounts and rebates deducted from payments.
• Assist in the annual audit for all discount-related queries.
• Prepare monthly supplier balance sheet reconciliations.
• Assist with processing supplier rebate credit notes with Shared Services.
• Liaise with Purchasing to ensure timely processing of all supplier shipthrough rebates to avoid negative working capital impact.
• Liaise with the Head of Purchasing to ensure collection of all volume rebates.
• Assist with the annual audit for supplier rebate queries as needed.
• Support ad hoc requests when required.

Skills & Experience Required

• Part-qualified or qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) or equivalent experience; AAT qualification is also acceptable.
• Strong commercial acumen with the ability to communicate finance information to non-finance decision makers.
• Ability to influence stakeholders and drive commercial decision-making.
• Strong analytical skills and adaptability.
• Excellent communication skills with a customer-focused approach.
