Job summary

Reed is seeking a hands-on Management Accountant for a temporary-to-permanent role based in Aylesbury. You will manage the general ledger, post journals, oversee AP/AR, and assist with monthly management accounts, supporting critical month-end and year-end activities.

The role requires experience across balance sheet reconciliations, journal postings, and strong Excel/systems skills, in a fast-paced growing business environment with broad financial exposure.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a Management Accountant position or similar.
• Strong understanding of month-end and year-end accounting processes.
• Experience preparing journals and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Hands-on knowledge of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions.
• Strong General Ledger experience.
• Excellent Excel and systems skills.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical ability.
• Able to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Confident communicator with strong stakeholder management skills.

The Company

Our client is a rapidly growing business based in Aylesbury, seeking a hands-on Management Accountant to join their finance team. Working closely with the Finance Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of the finance function while supporting critical month-end and year-end activities.

The Role

This is a varied and hands-on position that will suit an experienced Management Accountant who enjoys being involved in all aspects of finance.
