Job summary

Bayman Atkinson Smythe Ltd is recruiting a Management Accountant for a not-for-profit housing association based in South Manchester. The role sits in the Finance Reporting team, delivering high-quality financial information and accounting support across the organisation.

The ideal candidate will have a solid grounding in management and financial accounting, strong GL skills, and prior experience in the social housing sector.

Qualifications

• 3+ years' experience in a general finance/accounting environment.
• Previous social housing or housing association experience.
• Strong management accounting and general ledger knowledge.
• Ability to undertake both routine and more complex accounting work with minimal supervision.
• Experience in finance/accounting system implementation and testing.
• Strong Excel skills, including the practical application of a range of functions.
• A recognised accounting background – part-qualified ACCA, ACA or CIMA, AAT qualified, or qualified by experience.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively with colleagues across the organisation.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality financial information and accounting support across the organisation.
• Involvement in finance systems development, implementation and testing.
• Support management accounting and GL processes as required.
• Collaborate with colleagues across the organisation to improve financial processes.
